FAQ
What GPU do I need?
An NVIDIA GPU. 12 GB of VRAM or more is recommended; we tested the full feature set on an RTX 2080 Ti (22 GB). 8 GB works but is much slower. CPU-only is not supported.
Apple Silicon and AMD GPUs are not supported — the kernel depends on CUDA.
How big is the installer?
About 2.8 GB, split into one .exe and two .bin volumes. All three files must sit in the same folder. Installed size is about 5.2 GB.
Models are separate: about 23 GB for the base model, text encoder and VAE; roughly 30 GB with every optional model. Allow 45 GB or more of free disk space.
How long do the model downloads take? Can they resume?
Downloads start on first launch from the Models page. We measured 5-6 MB/s on a single connection, so a full 30 GB takes roughly 1.5-2 hours; a couple of missing files is minutes.
Yes, downloads resume. Closing the app loses no progress, and every file is sha256 verified.
How is this different from using ComfyUI?
ComfyUI is a general node editor — maximum freedom, but you rewire the graph every session. The workbench freezes a best-practice Krea2 pipeline into a parameter panel for people who just want stable output.
If you do need custom graphs, the workbench can also reuse an existing local ComfyUI install (such as a portable pack) — point it there under Kernel Settings.
Are my images uploaded? Does it need internet?
No uploads. Generation runs entirely on your machine; references and results stay on local disk.
Only the initial model download needs a network connection. Generation works fully offline.
How do I troubleshoot problems?
The app can export a diagnostic bundle: Kernel Settings → Export diagnostics. It packages system info, logs, config and the tail of the kernel log with secrets redacted. Send it to support.
